  • 1.  Family Law Symposium - contacting attendees if a weather issue?

    Posted 01-21-2015 07:38 PM

They're predicting anywhere from 2 to 6 inches of snow on Saturday; we'll obviously know more tomorrow and Friday.

If there's a weather issue, does the NJSBA or ICLE have a Twitter account?  Some other way to quickly find out if there's been a cancellation / rescheduling?

Actually, an e-mail would be preferred for those of us who don't have a twitter account.

     Thanks.

I contacted ICLE today to ask if they intended on offering a Webcast due to the inclement weather and/or how we should find out whether it would be cancelled altogether. I was told they intend to "make the call" on Friday morning depending on the weather forecast. If they decide to cancel it, they will CALL (yes CALL) all registrants on Friday. If they're able to make all of those phone calls, I'll be impressed. Email sounds more practical.

    Hi all.

I assure you we are monitoring this closely and are hoping Mother Nature cooperates. I will follow up on the question about the Twitter posting but assure you that as soon as I know of any developments or changes to any of the events, you will know as I will post same here. I expect all registrants will receive emails as well directly from ICLE. Keep you posted.

Hope to see you all in Friday and Saturday.

Are you kidding or are they really going to call everyone?

Last year, it snowed on Saturday while we all were in the symposium and it was not cancelled. I doubt very much it will be cancelled. The snow/rain is not supposed to start until mid-=day on Saturday. No weather for Friday and there is a program and casino night on Friday. I suspect a good portion of people are staying over on Friday and will be there anyway.
