  • 1.  Family case management software

    Dear List-mates,

    I am a new solo practitioner.  Part of my practice will be dedicated to Family Law.  I would like to purchase family case management software ( for guidelines, CIS and etc.)  Any suggestions on any affordable and good family software?

    Easy Soft has pretty good stuff.  For example, their CIS program can be used in conjunction with plug in for Family Docs (forms that make drawing some pleadings pretty easy).  Also, they have Divorce Financials program which is a pretty good program with some cool stuff in it.  Even the CIS program itself has some pretty cool features for, by way of example, figuring out scenarios of equitable distribution of assets and debts that you have already loaded into the Schedule of Assets and Liabilities for CIS itself.  That feature allows you to print out the scenarios for settlement discussion purposes.

     

    Suggest you try the free trials that they have available before purchasing anything so that you can see if it, or they, make sense to your practice.
