    Good afternoon list mates,

Does anyone have a recommendation for an expert to value model trains? Any leads would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!

There is a model train museum in Flemington. I am sure you can get a name by calling there.

Call Ron Rosen, Esquire, in Long Branch.  He is retired, but if you call his old firm they can pass along your information.

It's one of the last local full-service model RR stores and the owner probably can either do it or knows someone who can.  See if she can describe what's in the collection, it's an esoteric subject and it's the first thing anyone will ask.  Examples would be large-scale G gauge, Lionel new or heritage, pre or post-WW2, American Flyer, HO scale, brass models, you name it.   Some innocuous-looking stuff can be very valuable or not worth keeping, so you need to have a knowledgeable eye, preferably not someone who would low-ball the value to resell it for a profit.  Lots of this is of value only to cognoscenti.
