  • 1.  Expert needed: attachment of 1yo child to foster parents

I have a situation with a couple trying to adopt a baby. They were denied by DCP&P for (in my opinion) rather arbitrary reasons, and they are suing for custody. On the eve of trial, we were ambushed with an expert report stating that the foster parents (who wish to adopt) have a good bond with the infant and recommending placement with them. The judge gave me an adjournment to get our own expert. I'm trying to find an expert who can review that report and offer an opinion on the validity of the testing (and maybe do some interviews with the parents remotely, as they live in North Carolina). Does anyone have recommendations?
