    Hello Family Law Section members,

On Thursday, Aug. 29, NJICLE will present "Ethics Blues" from 9 a.m. to 12:35 p.m. at the New Jersey Law Center.

From the people who brought you "Ethics Rock" ….
Take a "Sentimental Journey" with us as blues singer Esther Covington and ethicist Jack Marshall, Esq. present a sultry, bluesy ethics and professional program that will leave you humming long after the program has ended.

No music captures the complexities, tragedies and exhilaration of romantic relationships more exquisitely than the immortal ballads of the 1930's, and 40's and 50's. Ethics Blues, a nostalgic and entertaining musical ethics seminar from lawyer/ethicist/parodist Jack Marshall, uses those memorable songs of Rogers and Hart, the Gershwins, Harold Arlen, Irving Berlin, Cole Porter and others to illuminate the equally perplexing relationship between lawyers, their clients, the Rules of Professional Conduct, and their own consciences.

Each Ethics Blues song is a challenging hypothetical exploring important current ethics issues that every lawyer needs to understand and be prepared to deal with quickly, correctly, and ethically. Professional cabaret singer/pianist Esther Covington uses her vocal, comic and instrumental skills to launch the fodder for intense audience debate on the toughest of legal ethics dilemmas.
