  • 1.  Divorce -- Spouse in Ukraine

    Hi all,

I have a client who lives in NJ, but spouse left a year ago back to Ukraine. Obviously service will be impossible as will be publication or substituted service. But what now? Motion for no possible service given the circumstances? I've never had this situation, so I am looking for guidance. This is Ocean County case if that makes a difference. Thanks!

Is there email or WhatsApp communication with her or another relative in Ukraine?

I've had judges accept email to spouse where I can show responses from that spouse by email. I had a case in Sussex where I only could show email with spouse's mother where mother said she was in contact with spouse.
