Hello Family Law Section members,
On
Saturday, Dec. 1, NJICLE will present
DCPP Issues in Family Court and Domestic Violence Cases from
9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the
New Jersey Law Center. Some of the most acrimonious divorce or Domestic Violence (DV) proceedings involve allegations of child abuse or neglect. These allegations are always serious and can affect custody outcomes or upend existing parenting times and custody arrangements. Matrimonial attorneys who handle domestic violence cases must be able to counsel clients about DCPP matters and know how to guide their clients through a DCPP investigation. They must also understand how to use caseworker testimony and children's statements to bolster or defend their client's position.
This essential new program, moderated
Allison Williams (on of the state's leading authorities on child welfare law who is certified by the NJ Supreme Court as Matrimonial Attorney), will provide you with unique insights and strategies for handling and responding to abuse allegations in family or DV proceedings.
