Good for you. I've had to leapfrog over the App. Div. on emergent applications myself. I find Division involvement in my cases utterly exhausting. Wild West shows, many of them. Once again, good for you!

On Sunday, I worked all day on an application for emergent relief in the Appellate Division seeking a stay of an order that removed visitation restrictions (between an infant girl and a guy who has an addiction to rape incest pornography) after a trial court erroneously stated that a DCPP (DYFS) determination was controlling.
On Monday morning, the Appellate Division denied my application.
This evening at 5:13 PM, Justice Anne Patterson reversed the Appellate Division and stayed the order. I'm handing it off to trial counsel with high hopes of a just result.
Days like this are why we practice this kind of law. Never give up when you're right and it's an important issue.
