Hello everyone,
I'm pleased to say that the Family Law Section is the most active on NJSBA's CommunityNET. The section members have embraced the community that you share together, and regularly post discussion questions and share files. The Family Law Section has the most visits to their microsite page, the most discussion messages with the most responses, and not only the most posted library items but also the most downloads.
The responses to the discussion messages and the downloads of shared files are true indicators of the amazing engagement that you enjoy as a benefit of Family Law Section membership. It is also a testament to your efforts to be such a cohesive group and to share and help one another to the each other's benefit as well as the practice of family law.
As more files are shared and discussion messages posted, it becomes difficult to find information from past posts as the library becomes larger and larger. To that end, I would like to offer guidelines on how to keep good organization in your library and discussion forum so this very useful information will be easy for your members to find in the future.
Steps to Post a Message and Share a File:
1. Login to njsba.com, click Community, from My Communities choose Family Law Section
2. You are now on the Family Law Section microsite. Click the arrow next to Participate on the blue navigation bar for a drop down menu - choose Post a New Message
3. Enter a subject that clearly states your topic. State concisely and clearly the topic of your comments in the subject line. This allows members to respond more appropriately to your posting and makes it easier for members to search the archives by subject.(From CommunityNET Code of Conduct)
4. Enter a message to members with a description of what you will attach.
5. Click Attach - Click Choose to select a file from your computer (you can upload multiple files), Click Upload file, Click Next
6. Enter the title of the file
7. Enter a description of the file
8. Click Next to attach keywords or Click Finish
9. You are now back to your discussion message. Check that your message is what you want to say. Check that your attachment is displayed at the bottom of your message.
10. Click Send.
The Family Law Section is one of the NJSBA's largest with over 1300 members. With so much activity generated by the section members, it is important to keep shared information organized. Whatever you can do to assist in that process by following these guidelines is a great help to your fellow members.
All the best,
Barb
