You actually have a choice. If it's below the threshold amount, you can bring it very quickly in Special Civil Part. Why can't they just pay us and be done with it. lol

Hello all,
Former client was sent pre action notice but never demanded fee arbitration. I have charging lien against settlement proceeds in still pending divorce action. I am also holding sufficient funds in trust to cover legal fees owed to us. Trial Judge wants me to file a complaint to get a judgment for counsel fees. I know we have the right to do this since former client did not see Fee Arb. Form Book has me filing complaint in family part. Doesn't it go to the Law Division? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
