  • 1.  Cloud-based practice/billing software

I am interested in switching to a cloud-based practice management/billing software package.  Do you have any raves, comments or warnings about any particular software packages?  What are your experiences?

I know that Cosmolex promotes heavily to NJSBA members.  I am aware that it offers a free trial subscription.  There are competitors that interest me, like MyCase, Firm Central and Clio.  The ABA published a chart comparing many of the options:  http://www.americanbar.org/content/dam/aba/migrated/tech/ltrc/charts/pmtbchart.authcheckdam.pdf

I am a solo, and cost is a consideration.  Would you share your experience with your cloud-based billing software?  Thanks!

Andy, Time & Chaos has one and so does Easy Soft.

http://www.chaossoftware.com/   T&C is rather prosaic, but I used it for years until recently.  I know this has a cloud option because I used it.  Still use it for contracts and calendar.  I just don't use it for billing anymore because my new firm has another package called Juris.

http://www.Easysoft-usa.com   ES  is more elaborate, but I've never really used it.  And I'm sure they have a cloud option as well.

Both are very reasonable in price.  And both can be used on a trial basis. I think both of them are geared to a contact list, which is pretty convenient.
