I have a client who is divorced and her child is a sophomore in college. If the daughter earns money during a summer internship program is there any case law which would reduce the amount of child support. My initial reaction is no but I am willing to be corrected.

Child support for children in college is very individualized and requires documentation of all expenses for the child and a determination as to how much and who contributes what. I think the summer earnings may be a factor as the child's contribution responsibilities, depending on the language of the MSA.  My MSA's often include language providing for some responsibility on the part of the child.
