Can anyone provide me with how to file an Order granting a charging lien against a residence in Morris County and a second residence in Sussex County?  Any forms would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you in advance.

    Hi Doreen,

Congratulations on GETTING a charging lien Order.

If it has not been done yet, docket the Order as a judgment. I don't believe you are allowed to rely on the Order alone. Contact the Clerk of Superior Court statewide office in Trenton. They have a Judgment Section and will tell you how to get a Judgment Docket Number.

Then file a copy of the judgment as a lien on the subject properties in each of the County Clerk's offices. The filed judgment of record will come up in any title search.
