P.S. Legal mal insurance carriers do not like attorney fee internal collections practice, which tends to generate legal mal counterclaims. It is worth seriously questioning the dollars and sense of so proceeding. I tend not to press counsel fee claims under $5,000, altho I have made exceptions in egregious situations where the former client has misused/abused our office and I am confident there is no basis for a counterclaim. Yet the risk is there.
