The Appellate Practice Committee (Law Center in New Brunswick, 6:00 - 8:00) meets tonight. Some of the programs we run are more technical, but tonight's looks excellent for anyone who's thought of joining. You don't have to be a member to attend (they just ask for a couple bucks toward the sandwiches). The program would be great for anyone who's interested in appellate practice:
On Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at 6:00 pm, the Honorable Carmen Messano, Presiding Judge for Administration of the Appellate Division, will present a power point program on appellate practice and procedures, followed by a question and answer period. In addition, Co-Vice Chair Christina Vassiliou Harvey will give a status report on the sub-committee's progress on appellate certification. A representative from the Clerk's Office will furnish an update on recent developments. There will also be a discussion about the annual bar convention in Atlantic City, during which the Committee will host a program entitled, "The Record on Appeal." Please join us for what promises to be an interesting evening.
