Thanks for all the assistance, Folks. I followed Dale Console's advice and spoke with staff att'y at App Div. She was right - it isn't over til the fat lady sings. If anyone is interested, an attorney fee issue "floating" out there must be decided before a Notice of Appeal can be filed. I was directed to read the comment to R. 2:2-3 on page 626 of the Court Rules. Even if reconsideration decision (issued on Jan 21) is the only thing being appealed, I have to wait until a decision on counsel fees is made - even if that decision comes out in April. There is a "Filing Time Exemption" [when the Notice of Appeal is filed electronically] that will apply to extend the 45-day appeal deadline when a situation like this arises.
