  • 1.  Alimony for disabled spouse in short term marriage

    Posted 07-13-2017 09:55 AM

Does anyone know of legal authority that provides for an extended period of alimony for short term marriage (1 to 3 years), where spouse has little to no ability to work

(due to disability or age), no other source of income, and supporting spouse has ability to pay. Looking for legal authority other than the exceptional circumstances portion of the alimony statute.

You may want to consider a Special Needs Trust for the receipt of alimony for this recipient.
