Hello Family Law Section and Business Law Section members,
The NJCC School of Business’s Institute for Dispute Resolution, the NJSBA Dispute Resolution Section, the Justice Marie L. Garibaldi American Inn of Court for ADR and the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education are presenting ADR Day XIX: ADR with an International Flavor – Expanding Your Practice in a Shrinking World on Friday, June 3 at New Jersey City University in Jersey City.
NJ CLE information: This program has been approved by the Board on Continuing Legal Education of the Supreme Court of New Jersey for 7.3 hours of total CLE credit. Of these, 1.4 qualify as hours of credit towards ethics/professionalism.
As a member of the NJSBA, you save 20 percent off the general tuition. The tuition for NJSBA members is $176. The general tuition is $220.
There are revolutionary changes coming the international world of alternative dispute resolution which will impact your practice. The practice of law is not immune from the impacts of globalization. As our world becomes smaller, alternative dispute resolution practitioners and attorneys on the cutting edge see opportunity in this shrinking world. The New York Convention may soon have an application to your mediation and law practice. Other opportunities available include family law practitioners needing to know how best to handle international custody disputes and deal with the advent of family arbitration in New Jersey courts, business counsel needing to resolve more disputes with foreign companies, and tackling the issue of implicit bias in the ADR realm.
TOPICS INCLUDE:
• International Mediation of Business Disputes
• International Child Custody Disputes
