Hello Family Law Section and LGBT Rights Section members,

The New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education is presenting Adoption and ART Practice in the 21st Century on Saturday, March 15 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the New Jersey Law Center in New Brunswick.

Adoption practice has changed enormously over the last 35 years. Evolving and innovative reproductive technologies have made family formation as complex and varied as the couples and individuals seeking to become parents.

This information packed program reviews the legal aspects of adoption practice and assisted reproductive technologies in the 21st century, including:

    • Private Adoptions-Networking, Advertising and Birth Parent Support
    • International Adoptions, Hague Issues and Immigration Requirements
    • Adoption Ethics-ICPC and Interstate Adoption
    • LGBT Adoption and Family Building-Donor Contracts; Ethics of Dual Representation
    • Surrogacy Issues and Best Practices

Our program is chaired by Debra E. Guston, Esq., a Fellow of the American Academy of Adoption Attorneys and the American Academy of Assisted Reproduction Technology Attorneys. She and an experienced panel will provide a wealth of practical information you need to know to stay abreast in this ever evolving area of the law.

NJ CLE information: This program has been approved by the Board on Continuing Legal Education of the Supreme Court of New Jersey for 4.5 hours of total CLE credit. Of these, 4.5 qualify as hours of credit toward certification in matrimonial law.

    Moderator/Speaker: Debra Guston
