Hello Family Law Section members,

On Saturday, March 16, NJICLE in cooperation with the LGBT Rights Section will present the 2019 LGBTQ Rights Annual Update from 9 a.m. to 12:35 p.m. at the New Jersey Law Center.

Issues involving LGBTQ clients and colleagues cut across every area of law, along with topics involving professional practice and civility. You cannot provide superior representation to your clients unless you understand their needs and perspectives, and how sexual orientation and gender identity (also known as "SOGI") can impact a client's access to justice.

The 2019 LGBTQ Rights Annual Update will provide you with insight that will help you to best represent your clients who are members of the LGBTQ community and to be a better and more effective member of the legal community. As an attendee, you'll gain insight into the most important cases decided in the last year that impact your clients' civil rights - along with vital updates in many areas of law, including: civil, family, administrative, and immigration law. NJ CLE: This program has been approved for 4.0 credits (50 minute hour), including 1.0 ethics/professionalism
PA CLE: 2.5 substantive and 0.5 ethics credits pending ($12 fee – separate check payable to NJICLE must be submitted at the end of the program)
NY CLE (nt): 2.0 professional practice, 1.0 ethics credits and 1.0 diversity credit

The tuition for NJSBA members is $172. The general tuition is $215. Tuition onsite is $255.
