  • 1.  14 year old child having say in parenting time-Brief/case law?

    Hi Christine – It's Debra Schneider.

    I would ask for an in camera interview.  Try the court rule and the annotations.

    Also, in the statute pertaining to moving out of NJ with a child without consent, the age of 14 is used for consent by the minor.  Try that.

    You could also analogize to the fact that a child has to consent to be
    adopted after the age of 12, or rather, can refuse to be adopted.
