This FREE program is designed to familiarize incoming matrimonial law clerks with practice in New Jersey Family Law Courts. It is presented as a service to the Family Law Courts by the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education (NJICLE) and the Conference of Family Court Presiding Judges. The program has been approved by the Administrative Office of The Courts.

At this year’s program, as in the past, a panel of highly experienced family law judges and current law clerks will provide new clerks with a complete overview of what is expected of them, including guidance on how to handle their new duties, and insight on how to identify and avoid potential minefields.

Each participant will also receive a handbook packed with useful tools for the practice, including an index of key cases, sample pendente lite write ups, child support guideline information, and more.

The Orientation Program is scheduled for 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM at the New Jersey Law Center in New Brunswick.

While instruction will be designed for law clerks, judges should feel free to participate if your schedule permits, as other have in the past. There is no tuition, however, advance registration is required.

Hon. Bonnie Mizdol, PJFP; the Hon. Patricia B. Roe, PJFP and the Hon. John L. Call, Jr., PJFP will present the program.

Please complete the registration form and return it to NJICLE.
