The New Jersey State Bar Association (NJSBA) welcomes attorneys who have been in practice for at least five years to apply for the newly updated NJSBA Leadership Academy.
The academy will provide participants with the intensive learning, career planning, knowledge sharing and networking opportunities essential to reach a leadership position in the bar, workplace and community. Programming will include building communications skills; career management; and learning about the Judiciary, Legislature and New Jersey industries.
“I’m so excited that the NJSBA is relaunching this valuable program,” NJSBA President Kimberly A. Yonta said.
“The academy is a fantastic opportunity to gain the unique skills and knowledge that will be crucial to the next generation of leaders. The alumni of this program have gone on to impressive roles at the NJSBA, affinity and county bar associations, and the workplace. With their input, we’ve crafted a curriculum that will meet the needs of the moment and the future. I urge every attorney interested in leadership to consider applying,” she said.
The academy will be mostly virtual, with some in-person opportunities as health guidance allows.

The deadline to apply for the 2021–2022 class of fellows is April 30.
