Enhancing Your People Skills - What Every Attorney Needs to Know
Special Presentation - One Site Only!
No matter how well you know the law, to be your most successful as an
attorney you also need to have good people skills, ranging from handling
challenging situations to developing relationships that hold up over
time. You'll also need to have the ability to influence others, to
strengthen relationships and ways to increase rapport.
When you increase your ability to work
with others, you'll increase your ability to succeed in almost all
aspects of work and life.
In this research based seminar, you will learn about your personal
patterns and iinteraction habits. You'll also gain insight into your
workplace temperment in these four areas:
• How passive,
• overtly aggressive,
• concealed aggressive, and
• assertive you typically are.
You will also learn ten techniques for being more
assertive, and will build and strengthen your EQ (your emotional
intelligence) in various legal settings, including:
• applying social science research to attorney-client relationships;
• exchanging insights with fellow classmates;
• examining some conflict situations and your options there; and
• learning to better manage and benefit from non-verbals - yours and theirs.
This seminar will be engaging, fast-paced, and above all, practical.
You'll leave with useful materials, new insights, and action plans
adapted specifically for you (by you) to increase your effectiveness
professionally. No matter where you are now with your people skills, there is always more to learn and apply.
