The New Jersey State Bar Association launched its Annual Meeting and Convention in Atlantic City, the premier gathering of the state’s legal community.
More than 3,000 judges, attorneys, law clerks, and law students are expected to attend the three-day educational and networking event, held at the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa from May 13–15. Attendees from across New Jersey will have the opportunity to connect through seminars, keynote addresses, and networking programs spanning a wide range of practice areas.
The agenda features more than 120 seminars, offering up to 16 CLE credits in programming designed to support professional development across nearly every area of legal practice. Dozens of sitting and retired judges from state and federal courts, along with leading public officials and legal thought leaders, are scheduled to speak throughout the week. New Jersey Supreme Court Chief Justice Stuart Rabner and U.S. District Court Chief Judge Renée Marie Bumb will each deliver featured addresses on key issues facing the state’s courts.
The program also includes several marquee speakers from the legal community, including New Jersey Attorney General Jennifer Davenport, who will participate in a fireside chat with former Attorney General Christopher Porrino on Wednesday. New Jersey Public Defender Jennifer N. Sellitti will also provide key updates on the office’s priorities during a Thursday session.
At Thursday’s installation ceremony, the NJSBA will reorganize its Executive Committee and Board of Trustees. Norberto A. Garcia will be sworn in as President of the Association for 2026–2027 and share remarks outlining his vision for the year ahead. The NJSBA will also recognize outgoing President Christine A. Amalfe for her leadership and service.
