Dozens of candidates filed for leadership positions with the New Jersey State Bar Association. The Nominating Committee will interview candidates on Jan. 28-29.
The positions include the officers, as well as county, Section/Committee, At-Large and Young Lawyers Division trustees; and positions on the Nominating Committee and as American Bar Association delegates.
Members of the NJSBA may watch the interviews via a simulcast at the New Jersey Law Center in New Brunswick on the interview days. All deliberations are confidential.
Following the interviews and deliberations, the committee will issue a report to the NJSBA’s Board of Trustees on a slate of candidates. The board will vote on the committee’s recommendations and issue a report. If someone contests a candidate, a vote of the NJSBA members determines the winner. Information about the process and the NJSBA’s policies and procedures are available at njsba.com.
