Judicial vacancies and fiscal issues are among the most pressing issues that legislators will confront in Trenton, a panel of legislators said today.

Six legislators took part in a panel discussion, Inside Trenton, at the NJSBA Annual Meeting and Convention in Atlantic City.

Fiscal issues are a central issue facing New Jersey, said both Sen. Linda Greenstein and Assemblyman Raj Mukherji.

“When you think about inflation and what is happening around the nation, it certainly has tremendous impact on folks living here in New Jersey (and businesses located in the state),” added Sen. Anthony Bucco.

The ongoing crisis of judicial vacancies is another issue that many legislators are tracking.

“We have to do something to fill these vacancies so people who need the intervention of the courts can get it,” said Bucco.

Public transportation, taxes, and issues around firearms were also topics of discussion among that panel that included Sen. Michael Testa, Assemblyman John McKeon, and Assemblywoman Victoria A. Flynn.
