New Jersey State Bar Association 2021-2022 President Domenick Carmagnola said serving as the head of the state’s largest legal organization was a most significant and rewarding opportunity.
In his farewell remarks to the Board of Trustees Wednesday at the Annual Meeting and Convention in Atlantic City, he said his time in leadership has been a highlight of his professional career because of the dedication, the focus, the commitment everyone demonstrated to the organization and profession.
"I loved being a trustee. I loved being an officer. These were the best years of my life," Carmagnola said. "I hope I made a little bit of a difference."
In addition to Carmagnola the meeting marked the close of terms for several trustees: Gregory DeMichele, Jeremy Farrell, Ryan Gaffney, Eugenia Lynch, Michael Schaff, John Shahdanian, Tracy Thompson, Amy Vasquez, David Wikstrom and New Jersey State Bar Foundation President Kathleen Fennelly. The meeting marked the final business meeting that 2022-2023 President Jeralyn L. Lawrence presided over. "This has been a wild, awesome year. I loved it," she said.
An installation ceremony will be held Thursday for the 2023-2024 slate of officers and trustees.
