Hot Tips from NJSBA’s PracticeHQ

We type the same words or phrases a lot, whether phone numbers, addresses, boilerplate, etc. Save your fingers the repetition. With Microsoft Word and Outlook you can use Quick Parts and AutoText (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/use-quick-parts-and-autotext-in-word-7a527697-058f-4967-b8f1-aae0774e4813). For iOS and Mac users, there’s a built-in function on the Mac (https://support.apple.com/guide/mac-help/replace-text-punctuation-documents-mac-mh35735/mac) and iOS (https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT207525) that works in any program and syncs between Apple’s two platforms. If you want something that’s even more powerful and works everywhere, look at TextExpander (https://textexpander.com).
