June Issue of New Jersey Lawyer Looks at Technology and its Impact on Society

By NJSBA Staff posted 06-23-2020 12:20 PM

For the first time in over 20 years, the June issue of New Jersey Lawyer is dedicated to technology and its impact on society – an issue that likely has never been more important than it is today.

In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic and stay-at-home orders coming to an end, the world has shifted, and the legal profession has been forced to adjust to continue to serve the critical needs of the public and its clients.

The edition tackles everything from how the courts balanced public safety and access to justice during the public health crisis, to an explanation of blockchain and what it means to the practice of law, to how the state’s legislative strategy on electric vehicles can increase energy resilience.

NJSBA members can read New Jersey Lawyer under the members section tab at njsba.com.

A special note to our readers and members:

Please note that this issue, and those through the end of 2020, are being produced exclusively as an interactive electronic edition. The New Jersey Lawyer e-edition allows all readers to experience the magazine just as you would if it were in print, by flipping through articles as you would with a traditional publication. It also allows you to easily go straight from the table of contents to any article you want to read. Even more, all cases and references have hot links so you can see the source material with a single click.

With the continued public health pandemic, as well as temporary closure of the New Jersey Law Center and many office buildings, providing the magazine in an electronic format appeared to be the best way to ensure the information and services that will help our members thrive in the practice of law is delivered in a prompt and efficient way. We hope we’ve achieved our goal, and the e-edition exceeds your expectations.
