The first-ever virtual Annual Meeting of the New Jersey State Bar Association begins Wednesday morning, and includes seminars exploring everything from leadership and presidential powers in times of crisis, to municipal court issues, to managing the transition from law clerk to associate.
The day will include a panel of high-profile leaders moderated by NJSBA President-Elect Kim Yonta on leadership qualities that enable them to persevere in difficult times. The panel will include United States Attorney Craig Carpenito, Attorney General Gurbir S. Grewal, Teaneck Mayor Mohammed Hameeduddin and the governor’s Chief Counsel Matt Platkin.
Elsewhere in the day, the Criminal Law Section will sponsor a program on bias crimes that includes Rachael Wainer Apter and Deputy Chief Erik Dabb from the New Jersey Division of Criminal Justice; Brynn Whittle from the Office of the Attorney General; John J. Farmer, Director of both the Eagleton Institute of Politics and the Miller Center for Community Protection and Resilience at Rutgers University.
