New Jersey Law Center Update: How You Can Help Keep Our Community Healthy

Dear Friends:

The New Jersey State Bar Association is proud that the New Jersey Law Center is home to the state’s legal community and welcomes thousands of visitors each year.

We have always put a premium on the well-being of our guests, and that is doubly true now. As concern grows over the Coronavirus (COVID-2019), we are taking extra measures to ensure the well-being of our staff, members and visitors.

We are continuously monitoring developments and staying abreast of recommendations about best practices from the Centers for Disease Control and the state Department of Health to ensure the health and safety of everyone who comes to the Law Center. We have hand sanitizer stations throughout the building and have increased the cleaning regimens for all bathrooms, public spaces and employee work areas.

We will continue to hold events at the Law Center, but should that become impractical we will alert all registrants via telephone and email if our event schedule changes. Many of our CLE programs and business meetings can already be attended via live webcast or by using your telephone. If you require assistance accessing a program remotely, please contact our Customer Service Department at 732-214-8500.
As this issue develops, we will do our best to stay vigilant and seek and share trusted information from health professionals to keep you informed and updated. Please visit njsba.com regularly, as we will post information and resources that may be useful to law firms.

How you can help keep our community healthy

  • If you are sick, especially with fever, stay home. Alert us immediately and we will work with you to allow you to watch a broadcast of a program you may have been registered to attend or get a refund.
  • Wash your hands frequently and vigorously with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60 percent alcohol.
  • Cough or sneeze into your elbow.
  • Avoid touching your face.
  • Consider not shaking hands.
