The latest episode of NJSBA Sidebar has dropped and features a sit down with the judge who is responsible for the day-to-day workings of the New Jersey Judiciary.

Hear from Judge Glenn A. Grant, an appellate division judge and the acting administrative director of the courts, about how the Judiciary operates and some of the key issues facing the legal system.

Grant has been the acting administrative director of the courts, a constitutional office, since 2008. Prior to that, he was the presiding judge of the family division in Essex County and was acting chief judge of the Municipal Court in Newark.

Grant sat down in his office in Trenton recently to share insights about what it’s like to oversee an agency with over 400 judges and 9,000 employees that has been a role model for courts around the country. He discussed efforts to update and reform the municipal courts where millions of people have their only contact with the court system. The conversation touched on the online attorney registration system – and the 13,000 attorneys who still need to register this year. He also covered the latest in the rollout of the eCourts effort and criminal justice reform measures.

Tune in to the episode today to learn more about Judge Grant.
