More than 2,000 students and teachers will head to court this month.
But it’s not because they did anything wrong. They are the winners of the New Jersey State Bar Foundation’s Law Fair (grades 3 – 6) and Law Adventure (grades 7 and 8) competitions, and they will perform their original mock trial cases before judges and attorneys at the New Jersey Law Center in New Brunswick May 13 – 16 and 20 – 23. Other students throughout the state will serve as jurors and will render verdicts.
Cases dealt with topics ranging from consumer fraud to theft to plagiarism.
