Happy fall. There is so much going on right now.

In October alone, there are dozens of terrific CLE courses to get you up to speed on the latest developments in the law and there are special events like a reception for Chancery judges, the Pro Bono Conference, the Professional Lawyer of the Year lunch, and the annual Open House. We hope to see you find some time to get to the New Jersey Law Center to connect with colleagues and say hi.

October is also LGBT History Month and in this edition of Sidebar, we feature a conversation with Celeste Fiore, who is chair of the LGBT Rights Section.

Celeste was just named to the Insider NJ LGBT Power List. They were previously named as on the of the 2018 Best LGBT Lawyers under 40 by the National LGBT Bar.

Celeste talks about cutting-edge issues in the fight for equality, the power of language, especially as it relates to attorneys, clients, citizens, who identify as non-binary. There's a mini grammar lesson about pronouns. And we share some tips to to figure out what pronouns to use when meeting someone new and what to do if you blow it.

It's a meaningful discussion with some practical takeaways - and we even manage a little levity.

Here are links to a few of the articles, studies and resources discussed in the edition:
