The New Jersey State Bar Foundation has released a new and updated “Bullying Prevention Guide,” a research-based collection of lessons to help educators address bullying issues at school.
The new guide is available to educators who participate in the Foundation’s “The Role of the School Climate Team” workshops and trainings.
The lessons cover concepts core to anti-bullying education: the definitions of bullying, roles in bullying, student strategies for intervention and the importance of reporting bullying incidents. The guide aligns to New Jersey State Learning Standards and each lesson includes interactive, student-centered activities, handouts, discussion questions and a family component to help forge a school-home connection.
