Upcoming CLE programs

The EASL Section is pleased to announce the following upcoming CLE programs:

  1. The Business of Music presented in cooperation with the NJSBA Entertainment, Arts & Sports Law Section and the NJSBA Senior Lawyers Special Committee will take place at the New Jersey Law Center in New Brunswick on July 11, 2017 from 5:30 PM - 8:45 PM. Our panel of entertainment law practitioners and experts will give you an insider’s perspective on the business of music so that you can effectively represent your clients. Topics include: Recording agreements from the artist’s perspective, Understanding music publishing deals, Terminating copyright assignments/licenses, Ethical Issues and more. Speakers include Steven C. Schechter, Esq., Past Chair and Current Executive Board Member, NJSBA Entertainment Arts & Sports Law Section, Law Offices of Steven C. Schechter (Paramus), Ronald S. Bienstock, Esq., Scarinci & Hollenbeck (Lyndhurst), Terence W. Camp, Esq., Budd Larner PC (Short Hills), Thomas Jannarone, Esq., Law Offices of Kalas & Jannarone (Brick) and Lloyd J.   2. Media Content Counselors Roundtable focusing on the day-to-day activities of in-house counsel, outside counsel and marketing departments who counsel organizations regarding their media content across various entertainment industries. The program will take place from 6:00-8:10pm on September 19, 2017 at the offices of Scarinci Hollenbeck in Lyndhurst NJ. Speakers include Kathleen Conkey (Law Office of Kathleen Conkey), Lance McPherson (Viacom/MTV), George Dassinger (Dassinger Creative Services) and Ronald Bienstock (Scarinci Hollenbeck).   3. Selected Issues in the Art World will take place from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Thurs., Sept. 28, 2017 at the NJ Law Center as part of the NJ State Bar Foundation’s Juried Art show.
