Two armed thugs and me...

  • 1.  Two armed thugs and me...

    Posted 09-05-2016 10:42 PM

On this past Thursday, I was beaten by two armed thugs in my own garage. Just got out of Jersey Shore Medical Center today mid-day. If you have a case with me, please know that I seriously need the rest of the week to mend. Mostly head and shoulders. Thanks!

    Curtis,

I am so sorry. What a horrible experience. I hope you recover both physically and mentally very soon.

    Terribly sorry.
Rest and recover and then let's talk about mixed martial arts training for the legal profession.

Thank you for all your very kind comments and prayers. I used to be the karate team coach/instructor at college and did close quarters combat in the Navy. I'm still a pretty tough bird and can probably still handle one armed assailant, even at 62, but I know better than to try anything with two, particularly two cops. Oh well... to less stressful times. Lawyering up for a nice ride. Restraining Orders in place for all of them. Will be filing criminal charges when I get the time. Then, they can all enjoy the next years as former unarmed cops in County. Cheers!

I did lose some weight out of the deal, but I would not recommend this as a new fad protocol.

    Be safe and breath deeply.
And hopefully those responsible for the attack suffer a worse consequence.

    Curtis -
<x-tab>        </x-tab>I join with those expressing distress over whatever happened and also wish you a speedy recovery.
<x-tab>        </x-tab>Also... you referenced "lawyering up" in your post. I know attorneys need to hear this as much as anyone else ... But your reference was sound. If there's any kind of ongoing investigation, charges, and/or counter-charges, I respectfully suggest that you not further comment on whatever happened. I'm told doctors can make the toughest patients and lawyers the toughest clients - from my limited criminal law experience, the one piece of timeless advice is to not discuss what happened with anyone but your attorney(s). The State has essentially unlimited resources and doesn't always play fair.

    Best,
