The New Jersey State Bar Association is partnering with the New Jersey Judiciary on Sept. 17 for a half-day training session on the essential elements of Attorney-Conducted Voir Dire (ACVD).

Attendees will learn about the new Supreme Court pilot program that allows ACVD in criminal matters starting in September in Bergen, Camden and Middlesex counties.

The training will consist of two parts—a demonstration of ACVD, followed by a discussion on each stage of the ACVD process.

Acting Attorney General Matthew J. Platkin will give an opening address, while Judge Glenn A. Grant, Administrative Director of the New Jersey Judiciary, will moderate a roundtable of attorneys, judges and recognized experts from across the state.
