Narcissism in the Law: Counteract the 9% of the Population Who Cause 90% of Your Problems

When:  Sep 25, 2015 from 09:00 AM to 03:00 PM (ET)
Counteract the 9% of the Population
Who Can Cause 90% of Your Problems

Narcissists look like everyone else. They seem to act like everyone else, but they aren't like everyone else.

If you knew at the inception of a case that either your opposing counsel, your own client, expert witness, opposing party, and even your law partner were guaranteed to be charming, believable, able to cover tracks, a great storyteller, always three steps ahead of you, a Shakespearean actor, an astounding enemy, and determined to destroy you... would you take the case?

Their impact can be devastating. Without understanding the narcissist, you risk having your “straightforward” case last years, costing tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars, draining your energy, destroying your client’s confidence in you, and increasing your exposure to challenges about your handling of the case, perhaps even leading to legal malpractice.

Without understanding the narcissist, you will lose.

This is not a pop psychology course. Lisa and Tina are not psychologists— they are tested and successful trial lawyers. Over the years, they have developed practical ways to spot narcissists and to turn their tactics around. They explain what to look for, how to use your “EQ” to expose the narcissist, and offer questions to pose at every phase of a deposition,
negotiation/mediation, or trial that get the answers you want by disrupting the narcissist’s predictable behavior.
