Part 1 - Nice Lawyers Finish First:
It's been said that nice guys finish last. And while that might be true in the rough and tumble arenas of politics and professional prize fighting, nothing could be further from the truth in the practice of law. Zealous representation doesn't require us to be zealots. In fact, the most effective representation requires just the opposite. Nice lawyers finish first ... and so do their clients!

Part 2 - Yelp! I’ve Fallen for Social Media & I Can’t Get Out:
Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and the other social media tools have become ubiquitous in our high-tech society. And while social media can undoubtedly help lawyers to enhance their networks of colleagues, clients and prospective clients, it can also ensnare the unwary in a web of ethical violations. So, set your Outlook calendar, post the date on your Facebook wall and get ready to be “linked in” with your colleagues from across the county as we take an in-depth look at the ethics rules, bar opinions and real-life disciplinary cases studies as they relate to social media. And as always, Sean Carter will use the quick wit that has made him a favorite CLE presenter in more than 40 states to make you “Yelp” with laughter while showing you how to stay Four Square within your ethical

Part 3 - Lies, More Lies and Legal Marketing:
In an increasingly crowded legal marketplace, lawyers are discovering that effective legal marketing is essential to a thriving practice. Yet, in the practitioner's zeal to effectively promote his or her services, they must remember that lawyers must abide by a code of conduct far more stringent than that adhered to by the typical marketer - none.
In this presentation, Sean Carter will:
    • Show the best (and worst) of televised lawyer ads
    • Discuss the current debate around Super Lawyer and Best Lawyer status
    • Examine the ethical implications of using seminars, columns and blogging as marketing tools.
