Marla Moss has 35 years of experience in complex commercial litigation, business disputes, employment discrimination, whistleblower retaliation, real estate & professional malpractice cases. She uses her knowledge and experience to empower counsels as a neutral to exchange information, evaluate the strength and weaknesses of their cases and create the best possible resolution for their clients under the unique facts and circumstances presented. As a Professional Mediator she uses her conflict resolution skills and humor to diffuse emotions and create an atmosphere that allows fair and balanced negotiations towards settlement. Ms. Moss attends and leads many continuing education classes on conflict resolution topics every month since she believes we need tools to empower ourselves and our clients to achieve targeted goals under challenging circumstances.
Ms. Moss served as Chair of the Dispute Resolution Section of the state bar in 2015-16. She served on the Supreme Court ADR Committee in 2016-17 as appointed by Justice Rabner. She serves as a Trustee to the Women in the Profession section and serves on the Executive Committee of the Labor & Employment Section. She is a member of the American Inn of Court for ADR and the ABA Dispute Resolution Section. She is past Chair of the Employment Mediation Section of the NJ Professional Mediations Association. Ms. Moss was trained by the Harvard Law School Program on Negotiation. Her background includes serving for 8 years as General Counsel to a group of closely held specialty chemical companies and serving on the board as counsel to the NJ Group of Small Chemical Businesses. Ms. Moss has also represented Plaintiffs in discrimination and whistleblower lawsuits. Her experience on both sides of the aisle benefits all parties in mediations. She offers coaching services for disputes in the workplace.
