Focus on the NJTransitGrid Project: The Microgrid of the Future is Coming
This year’s Renewable Energy, CleanTech, and Climate Change Conference will focus on the $410 million NJTransitGrid which is now in the design phase. One of the largest resiliency projects to come out of the planning for the next Superstorm, the NJTransitGrid will be a distributed generation resource that will operate in parallel to the grid during normal conditions but will go into “island mode” during grid power failures, creating one of the largest microgrids in the country. The NJTransitGrid will be able to provide traction power for NJTransit, Amtrak, and possibly other rail lines in the northern New Jersey region, allowing commuters to return to their homes or drop-off locations. Other opportunities exist for renewable energy and other distributed generation technologies as part of NJTransitGrid. As an attorney, you’ll learn everything you need to know about them - and other pressing developments.
At this year’s conference, attendees will hear from the leading players in the development of the NJTransitGrid in both the public and private sectors and learn about business opportunities associated with the NJTransitGrid.
Other topics will include:
• Update on world climate change negotiations
• Update on Fisherman’s Energy case
• Update on PSE&G Renewable Energy Programs
• Update on JCP&L Renewable Energy Programs
...and much more!
