Tarantino Sues Gawker Over Leaked Script

Last week, the Hollywood Reporter issued this exclusive story detailing the copyright lawsuit filed by renowned director, Quentin Tarantino, against Gawker Media, the infamous online media company and blog network.  In this lawsuit, it is alleged that Gawker facilitated the dissemination of copies of Mr. Tarantino's script,
 The Hateful Eight.  According to reports, this alleged leak prompted Mr. Tarantino to announce that he that he wouldn't be making the picture as his next film.

Prince Suing Fans for Posting Alleged Bootlegged Copies of his Performances Online
 

Prince Rogers Nelson filed a copyright infringement lawsuit on January 16, 2014 in the Northern District of California against 22 individuals for $1 million each, totaling approximately $22 million in damages.  In court documents obtained by ABC news, it is alleged that the "Defendants in this case engage in massive infringement and bootlegging of Prince’s material.”  According to reports, Prince sent notices to Facebook in an effort to have the material removed.  Although Facebook complied with Prince’s request, two of the named defendants objected to the removal of the material.  It is believed that Prince filed the instant action in an attempt to prevent Facebook from permitting the content to be republished.

Eli Manning and Others Sued for Allegedly Selling Fraudulent Merchandise

A civil suit filed in Bergen County Superior Court accuses the New York Giants quarterback, Eli Manning, and others in the organization of distributing fraudulent memorabilia to a dealer, who was then criminally charged for the sale of such phony merchandise.
